For restaurants and cafés

Does ChatGPT recommend your restaurant?

Guests ask AI assistants for a table tonight, for vegetarian food or for the right place for a birthday. Nennquote shows whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity name your restaurant and who is named instead.

“Which restaurant in Berlin has good vegetarian food?”

We ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity 3 typical customer questions each. Takes under a minute.

What customers ask

Examples of questions customers could ask an assistant. Nennquote asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity such questions for your trade and your town.

  • “Where can I still book a table tonight in Salzburg?”
  • “Which restaurant in Hamburg suits a birthday party for ten people?”
  • “Is there a good place with gluten-free dishes in Zurich?”
  • “Recommend a café in Leipzig that serves breakfast until the afternoon.”

What can generally help restaurants

General tips, no guarantee: how assistants weigh their sources is not public. Clear, consistent and up-to-date details help customers and machines alike.

  • Put the menu on the website as text, not only as an image or PDF, with prices and notes such as vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free, as far as it is true.
  • Keep opening hours, closing days and holidays up to date in the Google business profile and on the website.
  • Explain how to book, and from what group size.
  • Name what is special: terrace, groups, children, dogs, accessibility, breakfast or lunch menu.
  • Use photos of real dishes and rooms and ask guests kindly for a review. Bought or fake reviews are risky, legally and for trust.

How to read the result

Single answers vary with wording, place and day. That is why the report shows your share across several questions and assistants, not a placement. Nobody can promise you a placement, including us.
